In bushcraft terms ‘useful’ means any commodity which can be found naturally which may provide us with those vital resources in a survival situation – fire, shelter, water, food and medicine.
It’s not only trees and plants that we can utilise for these purposes but also other treasures that develop alongside them such as the fungus shown in the photograph above. This particular one has a multitude of uses, as do many others.
Our courses will provide you with the knowledge of how to apply these varied resources to maximise on your time living outdoors.
We must also consider as useful to know those plants, trees or fungus which are poisonous and which should be avoided.
