These are some of the most poisonous plants and trees you might encounter in the UK. I haven’t even included fungus here! This list is not exhaustive so you should be careful. The golden rule is if in doubt, avoid it!

Some of these species may even look beautiful and all of them are a vital part of the ecosystem – many are a food source for insects. Enjoy looking at them but take care and avoid them.
